Hike Goldensides Mountain - Dempster Hwy, Yukon

01 July 2015 - Wednesday

Another overcast day, and it was raining. Steve and his niece headed out fishing despite the rain. I stayed at the campground to clean up and sort things out. It poured during the afternoon, but then lightened up after supper.

We decided to hike up Goldensides Mountain, a trail just a couple of kilometres north of the Tombstone Mountain campground, just after 6 p.m. This time of year it doesn't get dark so we weren't concerned about running out of daylight.

There's a beaver pond just a bit south of the visitor centre. We drove there to check it out.
